Anne-Marie Lewis completed her M.A. at Rutgers University and her Ph.D. at McMaster University under the direction of noted Vergilian scholar Alexander G. McKay. She teaches Ancient Greek and Latin in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Linguistics at York University in Toronto. She has served as Editor of Amphora, the outreach publication of the American Philological Association and as the President of the American Association for Neo-Latin Studies. She has published on topics dealing with astronomy and astrology in Roman culture and literature during the lifetime of Augustus, and she also has a particular interest in Neo-Latin poetry and prose written in England during the sixteenth century.
