Professor Ruby Newman is Assistant Professor of Humanities in the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies, School of Arts and Letters, York University. She is the Coordinator of the School of Women's Studies Bridging Program and the Coordinator of the Atkinson College Women’s Studies Program. She teaches humanities, women’s studies and religious studies, including a course on "Bad Girls in the Bible." She is working on oral narratives of Ethiopian Jewish women in Israel. Ruby has taught in and coordinated the School of Women's Studies Bridging Program for the past twenty years.
